A manuscript review is an evaluation of your novel’s overall structure, plot, characterization, dialogue, pacing, and writing style. This service is ideal for authors seeking professional feedback during the early drafting and revision stages.

A manuscript review does not involve line editing, copyediting, or proofreading. These detailed editing phases come later, once the broader story issues have been addressed.

The editorial letter and annotations will pinpoint your manuscript’s strongest and weakest areas while offering constructive guidance to elevate your storytelling. This allows you to implement revisions (if you so choose) before proceeding to additional editing stages.
The intent of the review it so provide initial insight to help shape your story into its best version. It does not guarantee agent acceptance, publication, or commercial success.

If your manuscript is a short story or children’s book, or if it exceeds 125,000 words, please contact me and we can discuss pricing options.
Should we decide to work together on the next editing phase, the cost of your manuscript review will be credited toward that service.
